Selected Bali Wild Spirit journeys are aligned with these sacred lunar periods to create a deeper and more immersive spiritual experience.
At Bali Wild Spirit, we create experiences that help people reconnect with themselves, others, and life itself. Our retreats are designed for those seeking a break from stress, burnout, routine, and emotional exhaustion. Through nature, adventure, meaningful connection, and supportive experiences, guests are given space to relax, reflect, recharge, and feel alive again. We are not simply offering accommodation or activities. We are creating freedom, confidence, belonging, unforgettable memories, and experiences that stay with people long after the retreat ends.
Wild Spirit Bali was born from challenge, survival, and a deep reconnection to nature, community, and spirit.
In 2020, during the global pandemic, Bali fell silent. Tourism disappeared almost overnight, and like many, I—Dean Fisher—found it incredibly difficult to survive in the busy southern areas around Denpasar, where life had once thrived on energy, movement, and people from all over the world.
With everything stripped back, I was pushed to move—away from the noise, away from the dependency on tourism, and back towards something more real.
I travelled north into the heart of Buleleng, to a small traditional village in the hills. There, I connected deeply with the local Banjar—the backbone of Balinese life and community. Together, in a time when many had very little, we created something meaningful: a soup kitchen combined with a growing garden project, supporting local families through one of the hardest periods Bali has faced.
For nearly a year, we lived simply, working with the land, sharing food, learning patience, and reconnecting with what truly matters. It was here that the first seeds of Wild Spirit were planted—not as a business, but as a way of life.
But something was calling me further.
Drawn deeper into the north, I arrived in the coastal village of Pemuteran—and instantly felt a powerful shift. This was a place untouched by mass tourism, where the rhythm of life follows nature, not the clock. Backed by mountains and jungle, and facing the open sea beside West Bali National Park, Pemuteran carries a rare balance of land, ocean, and spirit.
Here, nature doesn’t just surround you—it communicates with you.
Days became a journey of exploration and awareness. Trekking through ancient jungle paths, climbing ridgelines with vast ocean views, snorkelling over thriving reefs, and sitting in stillness through yoga and meditation. The land revealed itself slowly—through identity stones, powerful rock and crystal formations, towering sacred trees, and hidden places that seem to hold memory and energy beyond explanation.
There is a presence here.
Through time and trust, I was welcomed by local priests and mangku—the spiritual guardians of Bali—who shared blessings and deeper knowledge of balance, energy, and the unseen world that lives alongside the physical one.
And then, in 2025, something shifted again.
Back in Seminyak, I met Richie—someone at a turning point in his life, searching for direction, clarity, and something more meaningful. I shared with him what I had discovered in the north… the raw, powerful energy of the land, and the unique presence of Jupiterite—an energy that can be felt, tapped into, and experienced in Pemuteran.
Not long after, we made the journey together.
We trekked through the jungle, sat in meditation, visited temples, and stood beneath ancient spiritual trees. Step by step, experience by experience, something opened—not just in the land around us, but within ourselves.
It wasn’t planned. It wasn’t forced.
It just became clear.
From that shared experience, the vision for Wild Spirit Bali was fully realised.
What began as a journey of survival had now evolved into a shared mission—to bring others into this space. To guide people beyond the surface of Bali, into something deeper. A place for adventure, yes—but also for awakening, clarity, healing, and reconnection.
Wild Spirit Bali is not just a tour.
It is a journey into nature, into culture, and into self. A chance to reset, to breathe, to explore, and to rediscover something that many have lost in the noise of modern life.
Because sometimes, the right people meet at the right moment…
And something powerful begins.
Slow down, reconnect, and discover a deeper side of Bali through nature, spirituality, culture, and meaningful human connection.
